Why would a relatively sane woman (and I use the term “relatively” loosely!) engage in the following:
Loooooong breakfast,
My Little Pony coloring pages,
WonderPets go to Venice,
Junie B. Jones and Her Big Fat Mouth,
Beg babysitter to come for three hours,
Cajole friend to bring her three kids over for an afternoon playdate?
Solution? DAY THREE off from school for first-grader due to weather (and the weekend and President’s Day looming!)

Oh I hear you!!!! Not only that, my dd had a book report due today. She didn’t like the book so she took her sweet time finishing it – she only finished it LAST NIGHT! So instead of her facing consequences for being late, she has a day off and can leisurely finish it over the 3 day weekend. Grrrr – she always gets breaks like that.

Junie B. Jones are wonderful books! I took my students to see the traveling stage show about a month ago! OUTSTANDING! Family bonding…does it get any better than that! Somehow, hearing that the daycare is closed sends me into twitching fits! ( At least as far as Junior Mayhem is concerned)
Disneychannel.com is a good distraction…of course, you have to give the ten hour lecture about not clicking ANYWHERE else before she can get there!

She was great! I have NO vision…..I gave her a few ideas and she ran with it! It really wasn’t that expensive, either. It was $10 or $11 for the picture from Istock.com and I think $35 for her to make the template. That is MUCH cheaper than a round of golf when Mr. Mayhem plays with the guys!
(Justification, anyone?)
