I’ve been tagged for a few memes recently and I apologize for being delinquent in keeping up. I promise, I haven’t forgotten.
One that has been on my mind comes from my friend Lawyer Mama who knows that while I, in my PunditMom persona, spend a lot of time on politics, I also have an addiction that I have never mentioned here before.
Shoes.
Yes, that’s right. Even I have some things I haven’t brought out of the closet (the shoe closet, that is) with you before.
But Lawyer Mama has thrown down the gauntlet with her parade of cute shoes, so now I must do the same! She has shown off her lovely gams in her photos, but I am not since I have not recently had the “proper” spa-type treatments for those pics! In any event, I present to you my Parade of Shoes!
The first pair I wanted to share were a birthday present a couple of years ago from Mr. PunditMom. While on vacation in Paris, Mr. PunditMom told me that my birthday gift would be a new outfit that I could buy in Paris! I said, “Does that mean shoes, too?” Unfortunately for his wallet, he agreed. So, I found my first pair of Tod’s loafers — black patent with red velvet trim.
Next in the parade is a pair that’s not quite so grand, but definitely cute and functional. I just wish I had more places in my work-at-home life to wear them.
Continuing my partial shoes-of-the-world theme, this unusual pair came from the Bally store in Barcelona on one of our last BPG trips (Before PunditGirl).
And last, but not least, are these, also from the recent Nordstrom’s half-yearly sale. I don’t know exactly where or when I’m going to wear them, but they called to me (and were only $49!)
I thought about sharing some of my summertime shoe bargains from Target, as well, but it’s been a while since I’ve had an appointment with the mani/pedi lady, so I’ll leave those for another time!
I know there are others out there who have a similar cure shoe addiction, so I’m tagging Momma Loves, Devra at Parentopia and Kari’s Couch (I’m betting she has some plaid ones hanging out in her closet!)
OK ladies — bring ‘em on!

I knew I liked you for more than your politics…

FABULOUS!
You’re going to have to padlock your closet when I’m there. Those loafers are yummy!

Seriously coveting those red shoes!

I probably shouldn’t mention then that Kohl’s had some insane sale prices on shoes. Or that the sale lasts through tomorrow. Or that they had the cutest crushed velvet Vera Wang Mules. With tulle and sparkly things on the toe. Or that I tried them on 42 times. And took them out of my cart and then put them back before finally, tearfully, bidding them farewell. So don’t go there.

I love those red shoes. I may have to steal this meme just for the excuse to take pictures of my shoes.

I’m totally impressed, AND you got the shoes in France before the dollar went south. Good job! I think a meme of best shoes found at Target is now in order.

I love all your shoes, but especially the red ones! I’m looking for a pair too! ; )
