It took me a few minutes to stop slapping my forehead after reading this post over at NPR’s blog, Gender Inequity in Whoville.
Though, really, it’s about Hollywood-ville.
And so much more.

I actually caught this broadcast on the drive home last night. Peter Sagal is always worth listening to, but in this case I’m glad he stepped up to the plate to be the spokesperson for the absurdity in Hollywood. He obviously knows how amazing girls are (yay for equality!), and I’m glad *someone* could come out of the movie thinking clearly.

Thanks for the heads-up on this; I didn’t hear the piece yesterday.
Yeah, it’s Hollywood. It’s that idea that girls will see/read stories that feature boys, but not vice versa, so we’ve got to pull in the boys. It’s ridiculous. I know there’s some padding required to get a full-length movie out of a Dr. Seuss book, but come on already.
But on the other hand, 96 daughters (!) could be a little overwhelming for anyone…

Hollywood…..absurd? I simply cannot believe this!
There are some very good points.

btw, as a follow up, apparently Peter Sagal keeps a blog where he has been discussing the fallout of his opinion piece on All Things Considered.

Thank you, for all of three of my daughters.
