Hi PunditMom! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I feel like I had a celebrity visit!
I hope you didn’t think that my comments about “elevated political discourse” was directed at you for posting the Paris video (in re-reading my post, I can see how someone might read it that way…GAH). I love how the video makes its not-so-subtle dig at McCain. When I first saw it, I laughed…but in a sad-sort-of-way.
What I should have made more clear is that my relative level of disdain lies with the McCain camp for going this route to begin with. I mean, didn’t someone on his staff foresee that we’d end up with a week of news coverage about whether his video had racist and/or misogynist over or undertones? Didn’t he (or someone on his staff) realize what would happen next–that there would be some viral-video retort posted on youTube or in this case FunnyOrDie? (Oh yeah, he’s just learning about the Internet, I forgot…DUH…).
Yep, that’s what I should have written…or something like it anyway.
So clearly I need to get back to my running blog and stay out of the political commentary. But I’ll keep reading yours! LOVE IT!
