The time has run out on the vote for the negotiated economic bail-out plan and it’s not looking good.
At the moment, the vote is 228-205, with the ‘nays’ in the majority. And the market is down 500 and falling.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi needs to start some serious wrangling, but there are only a few hours until sundown, when Rosh Hashanah begins, and the House adjourns for the day.
