In case your mind wanders while you’re watching the presidential debates, please remember this:
I’m so glad she cleared that up for me. I was so confused about who was wearing the white hat.
Think ‘a heartbeat away’ and ‘actuarial tables.’ Then have a drink.

Oh, and in the interest of progessive open-mindedness, let’s keep in mind that this could also be a heartbeat away from the presidency:
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the
television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of
greed.” ~~ Joe Biden while being interviewed by Katie Couric
Actually, Joe, that would’ve been Hoover on your non-existant TV in 1929. But I hear that FDR was a whiz with email and his iPod!

Ooo, I like it when politicians can boil down things to “good guys” and “bad guys.” I’m with Amy–pass the vodka.

Every time John McCain hammered Obama about “not understanding,” I kept thinking, “It’s ok, he’ll lose on Palin alone.”

I agree with teri …I can’t imagine Palin or Biden a heartbeat away. However, nor can I imagine Obama or McCain in teh driver’s seat.
I just can’t hold my nose hard enough this November.
I think I’ll just take a few muscle relaxers and wake me in 2012.
