If we’re going to get the Christmas tree, this weekend seems to be the time, thought Mr. PunditMom isn’t so excited about schlepping it into the house. While we’re out doing that, here are a few things to ponder as we inch closer to our respective holidays:
You want to lose a few pounds before the holiday? Sarah Palin says some fresh air and berry picking is a good state strategy.
Over half a million jobs were lost last month, the largest one month drop in 34 years. I wonder if Barack Obama is wishing he hadn’t run for President?
You might want to think twice about having your young children experience the inauguration of Barack Obama in person.
Need another reason to explain why our economy is in the tank? A very wise woman weighs in.
Who’s going to take Hillary Clinton’s place in the Senate. Lots of names in the mix, but NY Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has some major league support for the slot. But now Caroline Kennedy seems to want the seat. Does the last name of Kennedy make her qualfied?

Interesting question about Hillary’s replacement. Caroline Kennedy is smart and I’m sure would be a quick study and do a creditable job as senator. She also clearly has the money, connections and name recognition to mount a formidable campaign in ’10.
However, Carolyn Maloney has a much more extensive political resume, which would serve her well if Gov. Paterson picks her.
I’m not holding my breath, though; Obama and Biden owe Caroline bigtime, and I can’t believe they won’t put a little bug in Paterson’s ear.
What do you think?

Will someone, anyone JUST MAKE SARAH PALIN SHUT UP

Sara Palin is not as sickening as Carolyn Kennedy wanting Hillary’s seat after trashing her through out the election. No experience, nothing but her family name. Who is more disgusting, narcissistic, and elitist?

fudgelady, It’s a hard one to figure out at this point. Some accounts say Andrew Cuomo is the front runner, though I would think Patterson will have a lot of pressure to appoint a woman.
I guess in the end it will depend on how NY Gov. Patterson envisions where his own political career foes after this.
