Guess Who Won the 2009 Mother of the Year "Award?"

If you’re like me, trying to find that perfect Mother’s Day gift is often a challenge (though I made it easy for Mr. PunditMom and PunditGirl this year by asking for an addition to our lawn furniture!)

But MomsRising sure knows how to make a mom feel good about all the things we do that, to be honest, sometimes our families take for granted.

Watch the special Mother’s Day card here!

Don’t worry — it’s not just for me! ALL moms, thanks to the advocacy group MomsRising, have won the coveted 2009 Mother of the Year Award. Just go to the same site and customize it for all the moms in your life.
Of course, MomsRising is about a lot more than just recognizing the hard work of mothers — it’s also an amazing group that works to promote issues of special importance to mothers and all those who have mothers, including fair pay, health care for children, sick leave and many others.

As for Brangelina not voting for me? I’m going to have to have a word with them! And I have to say, I think I’m going to have to talk with Mr. PunditMom about getting that tattoo!!

I was certain for months that Mother’s Day was NEXT week – made travel plans a round it – then got busy – OOPS!

Congrats! Even if everybody else gets one, you still deserve your own!

I’ll be putting my mother’s award in the mail tomorrow.

I thought that was hilarious. I forwarded it to my husband, and all my friends without kids. I got a few who really believed it!

That is awesome. I love those videos. My favorite part is Joshy Hoffman. That baby is too funny!!

I do worry, though, about retribution against you from the news anchor’s mother because of that crack at the end. :)

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this until I received the card from a patient! Then I sent everyone I knew the video. Next year, for sure.
