As mom to nine-year-old PunditGirl, my mind is generally focused on what’s going on with the world of pre-teens. Rarely do my thoughts turn to how I’ll feel when she decides it might be time for her to have a family. At the moment, I’m happily in denial about having to face the prospect that is many, many years down the road.
Except when I remember that I have adult stepdaughters, too! One of them just gave birth to the newest member of our family, and I have to admit, I’m struggling a bit with what that means!
