Usually I take a little break from politics on Saturdays to give myself some space for one of my other loves — photography. But this week, I have a short video that is SOoo delicious I had to share withe one of the best political comeback lines I’ve heard in a long time.
The Republicans tried yet again — as they seem to like to do — to find a sexist put down for a Democratic woman of power. This time the target was Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
A spokesperson for the Republican National Congressional Committee said:
If Nancy Pelosi’s failed economic policies are any indicator of the effect she may have on Afghanistan, taxpayers can only hope [General] McChrystal is able to put her in her place.
To which my new girl crush Speaker Pelosi replied:
I think the Speaker needs to start offering a class on political one-liners!
