I’ve come to the conclusion that former Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler is on a stealth mission to use humor to promote girl empowerment.
First, she created this cartoon called The Mighty B! Now, she brings us Smart Girls at the Party, a show that focuses, on girls changing the world just by being themselves. For instance, one episode I like is this one — as you might guess there’s nothing I like better than a little feminism from an empowered seven-year-old!
As PunditGirl is heading into the tween years — a time when girls notoriously go from being confident kids to ones who become unsure of themselves – I’m glad I can turn to Amy Poehler’s new show for a little support.

That’s awesome! I love it. I love how she says the girl is changing the world just by being herself!
