While the PunditMom household is readying for the annual Halloween festivities, please enjoy Jon Stewart’s speech from the Rally to Restore Sanity (and/or Fear!). Many conservatives have already been loudly protesting that this was nothing more than a liberal love-fest, but this speech doesn’t sound political to me.
Rather, I suspect that the Comedy Central guru has summed up what the vast majority of us have been thinking for the last year:
I admit that I have been thinking about replacing John Cusack with Jon Stewart on my laminated Top 5 list. This sort of seals the deal. I know at least one woman who’ll be happy about that!

It was a great event – so glad we went. Jon Stewart really spelled out what is wrong with the country and I hope it mobilizes people to go to the polls and vote for the sane candidates!

I loved the rally – and I agree, his speech was refreshing and reflective of what I think so many of us feel.
And he’s on the TOP of my top five, and has been since the 80′s.
