Will Mitt Romney “Go Rogue” with His VP Pick?

Mitt Romney doesn’t have it in him to “go rogue” when it comes to his vice presidential selection. In a way, I wish he did — it sure would make the rest of the campaign season more interesting. But no matter who the GOP candidate ended up being, the queen of the rogues herself, Sarah Palin, pretty much put the kibosh on that. But when I sat down with genConnect at the recent BlogHer conference, I gave them my predictions on where the Romney campaign is probably going when it comes to their VP choice:

I know lots of people have other ideas on this, and many in the Republican party are leaning on Romney to go with someone like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie or U.S. Senator from Florida Marco Rubio, just to inject a little excitement into the process. But I’d be surprised if Romney had it in him!

So who is your favorite for the GOP VP slot? And do you think Romney will go out on a limb and choose a woman for his running mate? Maybe even a mom?

Condaleezza Rice will up his chances. She doesn’t want to do it, but if persuaded, I predict a sure win for Romney.

Cath, I agree. That would totally help him (not that I personally want to help him!)
