Roe v. Wade in Black and White

Forty years doesn’t seem like all that long ago — especially for someone like me who is over 40! But on the 40th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade  Supreme Court decision that guaranteed that women’s access to abortion could not be directly outlawed by the states — it’s a bit jarring to see the reporting on the decision from that time, in all its black and white glory:

Sadly, those rights have been chipped away at so much across America, that while states cannot ban abortions outright, they have instituted laws that make it virtually impossible for women to have access to the procedure (I’m looking at you Mississippi, Texas and Virgina).
